About us
Software that turns scattered spreadsheets into data-driven energy decisions
Gita 50001 grew out of years of hands-on work with energy data across different industries — a team that turned the requirements of ISO 50001 into the daily tools an energy manager actually uses.
Why Gita 50001 was built
Gita 50001's design started from watching the same problem repeat itself: in most organisations implementing an energy management system under ISO 50001, the energy baseline and performance indicators were calculated once a year in a standalone spreadsheet, then left untouched until the next audit.
A problem that kept repeating
Consumption data lived in scattered places — paper utility bills, separate spreadsheets per site, manual meter readouts. Every time a production process changed or equipment was relocated, the old baseline stopped being meaningful, but no one had time to revisit it. The result was documentation that could survive an audit but played no role in day-to-day decisions.
What we believe about energy data
The team's core belief is that an EnPI should be updated like a live operational metric, not an archived number. That means the baseline regression model needs to be checked against new data on an ongoing basis, data quality gaps need to surface before any analysis runs on top of them, and the standard's clause requirements need to live inside everyday workflows rather than a document that only gets opened during an audit.
That is why Gita 50001 was designed from day one around a single source of truth: whatever number appears in an audit report is the same number an energy manager sees on their dashboard every day.
How the product is developed
Every module in Gita 50001 is designed around a specific standard requirement or a real operational problem, then tested alongside energy managers and auditors using real data from pilot sites. Feedback from that loop feeds directly into the next release — the same continuous-improvement logic that ISO 50001 itself is built on.
That does not mean the product is finished; it means its development path is transparent, grounded in real data, and aligned with the needs of the people who use it every day.
Our values
Five principles that guide every module we build
Data accuracy first
No analysis or report is built on unvalidated data; closing data gaps and validation always come first.
Real compliance, not paperwork
Every clause requirement is translated into a working software capability, not a paper checklist.
Embedded in the workflow
The tool has to fit into an energy manager's daily work, not something only opened during audit week.
Built alongside real users
Every module is reviewed with the energy managers and auditors who will actually use it before release.
Continuous product improvement
Product development follows the same plan-do-check-act cycle defined in the standard itself.

2019
The idea takes shape
Hands-on energy consulting and audit work exposed the gap between standard requirements and the tools available.
2020
First baseline and EnPI release
The first module replaced spreadsheets with automated energy baseline and performance indicator calculations.
2022
Full standard-cycle coverage
Energy review, objectives and action plans, and internal audit modules were added to cover the entire cycle.
2024
Measurement and verification added
An IPMVP-based measurement and verification module and carbon footprint reporting joined the platform.
2026
International expansion
With Metachain and Shan joining the group, regional delivery and support began in Türkiye and North America.

A team spanning energy engineering to software engineering
Building Gita 50001 requires several disciplines working together: energy engineers and lead energy-management-system auditors who understand the standard's requirements, data engineers who design integrations with meters and SCADA systems, backend and frontend developers who turn that logic into usable software, and UX designers who translate the complexity of energy analysis into dashboards people can actually read.
The team works cross-functionally and stays in ongoing contact with industrial users so every new capability is tested against real conditions before release.
