Objectives, Targets & Action Plans
An objective without an owner and a deadline is a wish, not a plan.
- Clause 6.2 Objectives, energy targets and planning to achieve them
- Clause 9.3 Management review
- Clause 5.1 Leadership and commitment
Clause 6.2 objectives only produce results when someone is accountable for them. This module cascades top-level energy objectives into measurable, time-bound targets per site, department or SEU, and each target into dated action plans that carry an owner, a budget, an investment and payback estimate, and an approval workflow that matches the organisation's existing sign-off chain. Automated reminders track deadlines as they approach and escalate actions that fall overdue, while a portfolio-level dashboard ranks every open, overdue and completed action across every site by expected savings and remaining budget exposure. The estimated saving used to justify each action is later compared against the saving actually verified through the measurement and verification module, closing the credibility loop between promise and result.
Objectives-to-targets cascade
Break top-level energy objectives down into measurable, time-bound targets per site, department or SEU, keeping every target traceable to its parent objective.
Owned action plan tracking
Assign each action an owner, due date, budget and status, with automated reminders as deadlines approach and escalation when actions fall overdue.
Estimated vs. realised savings
Compare the estimated saving used to justify an action against the saving verified afterward through the M&V module, closing the credibility loop.
Investment and payback fields
Record capital cost, expected payback period and internal rate of return for every proposed action to support capital-budget prioritisation across sites.
Configurable approval workflow
Route new action plans through approval steps that match the organisation's existing sign-off chain before any budget is formally committed.
Portfolio action dashboard
View every open, overdue and completed action across all sites on one dashboard, ranked by expected savings and remaining budget exposure.
Contribution of each corrective action to consumption reduction versus baseline
| Savings (MWh) | |
|---|---|
| Baseline | 44,950 |
| Compressed Air | 1,800 |
| Burner | 1,350 |
| HVAC | 600 |
| Actual | 41,200 |

Capital budgeting decisions use consistent payback data across every proposed action.
Claimed savings are checked against verified savings before they reach a board report.
Multi-site portfolios are prioritised by real expected savings, not by who asked loudest.
