Measurement & Verification (IPMVP)
A saving becomes real only after it survives measurement and verification.
- Clause 9.1 Monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation
- Clause 6.5 Energy baseline(s)
- Clause 6.4 Energy performance indicators
A saving claimed without measurement and verification is an opinion, not a result. This module implements IPMVP Options A through D end to end: for each energy conservation measure, the appropriate option — retrofit isolation, whole-facility or calibrated simulation — is selected and an M&V plan is documented, covering measurement boundary, baseline period, adjustment method and reporting frequency in a structure aligned with ISO 50015. Routine adjustments are applied automatically from relevant-variable data, while non-routine adjustments — equipment changes, expansions, closures — are logged with full justification and supporting evidence. Avoided energy is calculated as baseline-predicted minus actual consumption and converted to avoided cost and avoided emissions, with the statistical uncertainty of every savings figure reported alongside the number itself.
IPMVP Option A/B/C/D configuration
Select the appropriate IPMVP option per measure — retrofit isolation, whole-facility or calibrated simulation — and configure the M&V plan accordingly.
ISO 50015-aligned M&V plans
Document the measurement boundary, baseline period, adjustment method and reporting frequency for each M&V plan in a structured, standardised template.
Routine and non-routine adjustments
Apply routine adjustments automatically from relevant-variable data and log non-routine adjustments with full justification and supporting evidence attached.
Avoided energy and cost
Calculate avoided energy as baseline-predicted minus actual consumption, then convert it to avoided cost and avoided emissions using current tariffs and factors.
Uncertainty reporting
Report the statistical uncertainty of every savings figure alongside the number itself, so stakeholders know exactly how much confidence it supports.
Per-measure verification reports
Generate a stand-alone verification report per energy conservation measure suitable for submission to a financier, an ESCO contract or a regulator.

The figures and charts shown on this website are illustrative sample data used to demonstrate the software's capabilities and do not reflect the actual performance of any organization.
Savings claims hold up under scrutiny from a financier, an ESCO or a regulator.
Non-routine adjustments are documented at the time they happen, not reconstructed later from memory.
Every savings figure carries an honest uncertainty range instead of false precision.
M&V plans are consistent across projects because they follow the same IPMVP structure.
ESCO and performance-contract savings are independently verifiable, protecting both sides of the contract.
