Utility Bill Management & Cost Analysis

The tariff structure hidden in every bill, finally modelled and checked.

  • Clause 6.3 Energy review (cost input)
  • Clause 9.1 Monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation
  • Clause 8.1 Operational planning and control

Every utility invoice hides a tariff structure worth understanding, and this module records electricity, natural gas, water, steam and fuel invoices in one register linked to the metering point and period each bill actually covers. Time-of-use, seasonal, block and demand-charge tariff structures are modelled per contract so the true marginal cost of any consumption change can be calculated rather than assumed. Each invoice is compared automatically against metered consumption and the contracted tariff, flagging billing errors, missed discounts or unexpected demand penalties before they repeat for another twelve months. Costs are allocated to department, line or product using sub-meter shares, while peak demand and power factor are tracked against contracted limits with early warnings before penalty thresholds are crossed.

Multi-utility bill register

Record electricity, natural gas, water, steam and fuel invoices in one register, linked to the metering point and period each bill actually covers.

Tariff modelling

Model time-of-use, seasonal, block and demand-charge tariff structures per utility contract to calculate the true marginal cost of any consumption change.

Bill anomaly detection

Compare each invoice against metered consumption and the contracted tariff automatically, flagging billing errors, missed discounts or unexpected demand penalties.

Cost allocation by cost centre

Allocate utility costs down to department, line or product using consumption shares from sub-meters, supporting accurate internal cost-centre charging.

Peak demand and power factor tracking

Track peak demand and power factor against contracted limits, warning before penalty thresholds are crossed and quantifying the value of correction.

Cost trend and budget variance

Compare actual utility spend against budget and prior-year cost month by month, isolating volume effects from pure tariff-rate changes.

The figures and charts shown on this website are illustrative sample data used to demonstrate the software's capabilities and do not reflect the actual performance of any organization.

  • Billing errors are caught the month they happen, not discovered a year later.

  • Departments see their real energy cost instead of an arbitrary allocation percentage.

  • Demand and power-factor penalties are prevented instead of just explained after the fact.

  • Finance and energy management finally work from the same reconciled cost numbers.

  • Twelve months of avoidable billing errors becomes an alert instead of a write-off.

  • Multi-utility invoice register

  • Tariff model per contract

  • Bill anomaly and error report

  • Cost allocation report by cost centre

  • Peak demand and power factor tracking log
